Your questions stay on your phone.
Aboki does its thinking on the phone in your hand. Nothing you ask is sent away to be answered, so there is nothing out there to collect. Private by design, helpful by nature.
Exactly what stays, and what goes
Stays on the phone, always
- Every question you ask, and every answer.
- Your chats, until you delete them. Deleted chats are gone for good.
- Photos and files you show Aboki. The words are read on the phone; nothing is sent anywhere.
- Your child's questions in homework mode, for you to see behind your PIN.
- The model and the library packs.
Uses the internet, only when you choose
- Downloading a model. Files come from Hugging Face, a public library of AI models.
- Downloading a library pack.
- Checking for and installing an app update, when an adult taps Check for updates.
Nothing downloads by itself, big downloads wait for Wi-Fi unless you change that, and the size is shown first. None of these send your chats.
What Aboki does not have
- No account. Nobody signs up, logs in or gives a name, email or phone number.
- No advertising, and no advertising profile.
- No analytics or tracking tools watching how the app is used.
- No automatic updates in the background.
A child's question is not a profile
In homework mode Aboki blocks every use of the network in its code. It does not download, update or check anything. The phone could be online and Aboki would still not use it.
Private from the world is not the same as secret from parents. The parent can read every question their child asked, and the child is told so on the chat screen.
What is still up to you
Who holds the phone
Anyone with the phone can open Aboki and read the chats. Press and hold a chat to delete it.
Your parent PIN
It guards homework mode and every setting. Choose one your child cannot guess.
Your screen lock
Screen pinning and PIN reset rely on the phone's own lock. Set one if you have not.

Android 7 or newer, 3 GB of memory or more. Install the app, then add a model by downloading it once or copying it from another phone.
